Our Story
Our initial meeting happened summer of 2021 one Sunday during a service at Church of the Highlands. Pastor Chris said his usual introductions and announcements and invited everyone to look around and meet someone new in their area. At this time Conner turned around and recognized the girl sitting behind him, "Cassie, right?" Unfortunately, Cassie did not know who he was and was genuinely surprised that this man knew her name. Conner then explained how he was a diver on the Auburn University Swim and Dive team and recognized her as a gymnast on the Auburn University Gymnastics team. Not much happened after that particular Sunday, but it was the beginning of our story. It wasn't until a few weeks later, when we were reconnected by a pair of mutual friends that we really started hanging out and getting to know each other. With both of us being athletes, we had similar schedules and it was convenient to always see each other and hang out at the dining hall, football games, training room, etc. On September 8th, 2021 we went out to dinner at The Hound, and that was where Conner popped the girlfriend question and we officially started dating. From there, the rest is a lot of history (and bread pudding:)).
